Special Instruction in New York State’s Early Intervention Program focuses on building developmental, cognitive, communication, and play skills within a child’s natural routines. Our specialists work directly with the child and family to teach new skills, embed learning opportunities into everyday activities, and support meaningful progress across home and community settings.

Initial Service Coordination helps families navigate the Early Intervention Program from the very start. We guide families through referrals, evaluations, the IFSP process, and help them understand their rights and available services. Our coordinators ensure evaluations are scheduled, timelines are met, and families feel supported and informed every step of the way.
Ongoing Service Coordination
Ongoing Service Coordination
Ongoing Service Coordination provides continuous support to families throughout their time in Early Intervention. We help monitor service delivery, assist with scheduling and coordination, update the IFSP as needs change, and connect families to community resources. Our coordinators work closely with families to ensure services remain effective, timely, and aligned with each child’s goals.
